Returned from the US to the factory where it was tweaked prior to being sent to England accompanied by either a MV mechanic & pr person or two mechanics for promotional purposes. The mechanics job being to look after the settings after each test. Thought to be the quickest 750 motor in the UK at the time MV Owners Club of GB The first owner was Nick Mason drummer with Pink Floyd. Nick didn t register the bike but parked it in his London pad along with his AJS 7R s BSA Gold Stars Matchless G50s etc. Nick sold it to Dave Enthoven owner of Buggane Music. Dave was the road manager for Roxy Music Squeeze and Emerson Lake & Palmer. Documentation from 1979 exists to verify ownership by Dave Enthoven. Apparently either Nick or Dave painted the bike purple and there are traces of purple tucked away in hard to get places although I have yet to verify this. In 1982 the bike went to SGT Superbiking Burnham-on-Sea for servicing before being sold to Tom King when the servicing bills weren t paid. Tom registered the bike in March 1983 before selling it to Stephen Griffiths in April 1983. Stephen s brother David was a TT racer. The bike was displayed at Stamford Hall in Leicestershire. In 1984 the bike was bought by Frank Graham who fitted the Magni pipes braided brake lines and gave the bike a re-spray and did some tidying up before being put back on the road in June 1985. Frank sold the bike July 2008 to Bob Power in Queesland Australia who on sold it to me the current owner. Photos of the bike show it with a red white & blue Sport tank no fairing and full fairing with the #5 Mike s number at the 1965 Isle of Man TT. The bike has done some sessions at Phillip Island race track. Once the petcocks are changed it will also be used for some touring on great bike roads of course.
